Kindle is an ebook reader to read ebooks that you buy from Kindle Store. It's also available to transfer ebooks on your computer to read on your Kindle. If you want to read a great number of free ebooks on your Kindle, you can download Google books. eBooks you download from Google Books are PDF and ePub format. Kindle can support PDF format natively. But it can't support ePub. If you download ePub books, you can convert ePub to MOBI, which is compatible with Kindle.
Part 1: Download PDF or ePub books from Google Books
Step 1: Go to Google Books and choose an ebook you want to read.
Step 2: Click the "Download PDF" or "Download ePub" button to save the ebook to your computer.
Part 2: Convert PDF or ePub book to Kindle compatible format using Calibre
Though Kindle can support PDF format, but it's not the best format to read on Kindle. You can convert PDF and ePub to MOBI format with Calibre.
Step 1: Add PDF book or ePub book into the Calibre.
Step 2: Click the book in the list to highlight it and click the "Convert books" from the toolbar.
Step 3: Choose MOBI as output format from the "Output Format" drop-down menu.
Then the Calibre will convert ebook to MOBI format. You can also use free online converter like Online-Convert.com or 2epub.com to convert PDF or ePub book to MOBI ebook for you Kindle.
Part 3: Transfer ebook from your computer to your Kindle
Step 1: Connect your Kindle to your computer with USB cable.
Step2: Copy the PDF or MOBI ebook into the Kindle's "documents" folder.
Now you can enjoy Google books on your Kindle.
